CitraZoy® harvested at Willaway Cattle & Sod before installation at Morningside Park along Biscayne Bay in Miami, FL.
Earlier this summer, Sunshine Sod installed approximately 600 pallets of CitraZoy® Zoysiagrass as part of a large-scale renovation at Morningside Park in Miami, FL.
Located along Biscayne Bay, Morningside Park features athletic fields, playgrounds, waterfront access and open green space for community recreation. As part of the park's ongoing improvements, CitraZoy was selected to provide an attractive, functional turfgrass surface for visitors to enjoy. Sunshine Sod sourced CitraZoy from Willaway Cattle & Sod and coordinated delivery and installation for the project.
“CitraZoy, in our experience, has been very successful. It's really kept its color, especially through the cold, harsh (weather) that we had this year in Florida. It's been the greenest sod that we've had here,” said Glen Hegedus, co-owner and sales manager of Willaway Cattle & Sod.
The project is featured in the latest Titans of Turfgrass video:
