Sod Solutions Hosts Open House Featuring New Products from SatQuote and Kress
On June 21, Sod Solutions joined forces with Kress and SatQuote to host a Turf & Tech open house event for Charleston area landscapers. The event showcased Sod Solutions turfgrass varieties, SatQuote measuring, and estimation software, and Kress battery equipment technology and robotics. The gathering was held at the Sod Solutions office in Awendaw, where staff cooked up some delicious food and landscape professionals networked with others in their industry.
Tech & Turf aimed to showcase innovative products where technology and the landscape industry intersect. “Our team had a great time meeting Charleston area landscapers giving them a chance to demo the latest turfgrass, equipment, and software innovations. There is so much technology growth in the landscape industry on the horizon and it is going to be exciting to see the benefits in environmental sustainability and efficiency our products can deliver,” said Sod Solutions Chief Technology Officer, Drew Wagner.
The SatQuote team showed local landscapers their all-in-one measuring, designing, and quoting platform. They also performed demos and answered any questions they may have about the software. Attendees learned how SatQuote can benefit their landscaping businesses from assisting with measurement and design to estimating labor and equipment needed for jobs.
Kress showed off their newest line of commercial outdoor lawn care equipment and allowed landscapers to try out the product themselves. Some of the demoed products included battery-operated machines, leaf blowers, and automated mowers.
Following the demos, landscapers checked out Sod Solutions turfgrass varieties and spoke with Sod Solutions representatives about availability from their licensed sod producers. The tent highlighted new and improved St. Augustine, Zoysia, and Bermuda grass varieties and their distinctive lawn characteristics.
