Two Decades Later, Celebration® Bermudagrass Remains the PGA TOUR’s Trusted Standard

The 2025 PGA TOUR opened its 110th season on Celebration® Bermudagrass at the Plantation Course at Kapalua on Maui, HI during the first week of January. As the season continues, golf enthusiasts will see Celebration featured on four consecutive tournament courses.

The Cognizant Classic, held at PGA National Resort – The Champion Course in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, runs from February 27 to March 2. Next up is the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill Club & Lodge in Orlando, FL from March 6 to 9. Both courses have relied on Celebration for many years due to its durability and consistent playability.

Following Bay Hill, THE PLAYERS Championship will be played at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL from March 13 to 16. The PLAYERS Stadium Course has featured Celebration on its fairways, tees and approaches since 2011.

Ahead of hosting the PGA TOUR last spring, Jeff Plotts, Director of Golf Course Maintenance Operations at TPC Sawgrass, highlighted Celebration’s strong performance in filtered sun and light shade environments. He noted that both players and members frequently praise the fairways for their appearance and playability. Plotts also explained that while many beauty shots of the course are overseeded, Celebration excels in both establishment and recovery making it a dependable choice for tournament conditions.

The final stop in this four-tournament stretch is the Valspar Championship at Innisbrook Resort’s Copperhead Course in Palm Harbor, FL from March 20 to 23.

Beyond these four consecutive tournaments, Celebration will also be featured at two additional events later in the season: the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head Island, SC from April 17 to 20 and the Zurich Classic of New Orleans at TPC Louisiana in Avondale, LA from April 24 to 27.

Celebration Bermudagrass has become a trusted standard on top golf courses across the U.S. for nearly two decades. Known for its excellent wear tolerance, quick recovery and drought resistance, Celebration remains a reliable choice for demanding PGA TOUR conditions. With seven PGA TOUR courses featuring Celebration this season, it continues to be a favorite for maintaining consistent high-quality playing surfaces.
