PRODUCER UPDATE

Sod Solutions adapts, attends virtual trade shows in the first quarter of 2021

While many businesses around the world have slowed, the massive industry event schedule rumbles on into 2021. January and February are typically the busiest months in the agricultural and turfgrass industries when it comes to industry events. National and even many regional conferences for sports turf managers, the golf course industry, landscapers and turfgrass producers get tightly packed into the first three months of the year in the winter while business is typically slower. The shows will go on as scheduled this winter but with a different look. Reminiscent of the way 2020 ended on the show circuit, the first few months of the year (at least) will see the conferences move to a virtual format.

While everyone misses the in-person interaction these events normally present, the Sod Solutions team is thrilled for the opportunity to be a part of these online conferences to promote products and brands while speaking with other stakeholder exhibiting businesses.

Sod Solutions participated in the Mid-Atlantic Nursery Trade Show (MANTS) Jan. 6-8 allowing engagement with over 550 other businesses while explaining improved turfgrass brands, farm management software and cutting-edge fertilizer technology.

Next, Sod Solutions participated in the 32nd annual Sports Turf Managers Association (STMA) conference Jan. 12-13. This multi-faceted conference allowed Sod Solutions to learn and interact with top academics, practitioners and professional speakers.

At the end of the month Sod Solutions will participate in the Golf Industry Show (GIS) with a goal to effectively engage with producers and golf course superintendents throughout the event.

To conclude our virtual trade shows for the first quarter of 2021, Sod Solutions will be involved with the Turf Producers International (TPI) conference as a Gold and Silver Sponsor.

“We are thrilled for the opportunity to be a part of this premier event,” said Sod Solutions President Tobey Wagner. “We hope that all of our producers will take time to visit our booth at the TPI conference to see how we will promote all of our turfgrass brands and products.

Sod Solutions is determined to show producers and clients the importance of building lasting relationships while staying at the forefront of the industry through these trying times. Sod Solutions looks forward to growing business and expanding existing clientele with virtual trade shows in 2021.
